| As the Wheel of the Year turns once again and welcomes the dawning
of the Millennium and the New Year, I feel this will be a time of renewed
promise. The change will bring illumination as well as a rekindling of
spirituality for so many on their paths who have been sincerely seeking
for so long as well as those opening up for the very first time. As a Witch
and Priestess I have seen this coming to pass for some time, bringing with
it a Tran formative state of tremendous change for the world as a whole.
One that has been needed for so long.
As we develop spiritually and psychically, we begin to open our inner
eyes for the first time. We begin to see and understand the Divine in all
things large and small. It is only when we take a moment from the daily
routine of life, look with our spiritual eyes, hear with our hearts and
inner ears, that we begin to truly see.
Have you ever seen the magick on a cold winter morning after a fresh
snowfall, gazed with wonderment at its beauty, and suddenly noticed that
a single leaf was left on a branch of your favorite oak tree? It
begins to float down from the tree through the air as if mysteriously ridden
perhaps by a Faery? Or maybe while you were enthralled by the magnificence
of the crisp new fallen snow, you felt the change of the seasons, knowing
within you it is truly the turning of the Wheel of the Year hence moving
us from one cycle of life to the next and all that entails. Did you know
and feel the embrace of your loved ones at Samhain who have passed on before
us, hearing their voices on the winds letting us know that they are ever
with us? If any of these words have touched your spirit, then yes, you
have felt the magick and are awakened.
Now as we step upon this path of the New Year and the coming Millennium,
let your spirit soar. The keyword is spirit. This should be the guiding
force in all things. Always use your intuition; let it guide you. If something
feels right, then it is right for you. No one can decide your path for
you, nor can they make you what you already are. Whether you are solitary
in your beliefs and practices, or work with within a group, one way
is no less legitimate then the other. It all comes down to individual choices,
and we all have the free will to make our own. Listen to your own spirit
and follow it. You will never be lead astray.
If I have but one vision for all this coming New Year, it would be that
all would find their path while seeking to help others on their journey.
It is through this universal time honored tradition of our ancestors, practiced
since time began, that all truths have been passed down and remembered.
The Sacred Quest lies before each and every one of us. As you embark upon
the well-trodden paths of wisdom and knowledge of long ago where many have
traveled before you, are you prepared to suffer to learn? To give of your
time and of yourself? To be dedicated in study and practice and in turn
helping others who sincerely seek as well? To be of service to humankind?
This is the time-honored path of our ancestors and the Old Ways as they
have always been. Hence, this is what the term "suffer to learn" truly
means. To give of ones self unconditionally while helping others.
To commit to learning and teaching. Seeing the Divine in all things
including one another. For all life is blessed and sacred. This is the
life and path of the spiritual seeker. Behold, the Quest awaits thee.
May the coming Millennium, Yule and New Year fill your life with love,
light and prosperity on all levels of body, mind and spirit. May your life
be filled with magick allowing you to see the wonders in all things. Know
and recognize the Divine in all things and one another. And on one crisp
winter morning enveloped with the new fallen snow, may you see the Faery
at play.
